“Who the righteous admire… the ladies dem desire… and the poor people require.”
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. My ancestry is straight out of St. Vincent. I embarked on my musical journey as a reggae DJ with a sound called EchoStorm. We played dances throughout New York City and even brought our sound vibes to Connecticut, Maryland, and the D.C. area. My passion and adoration for the melodic, tranquil yet passionate vibes of music led me to place my innermost thoughts on paper. At least thirty songs have been penned since my inception in 2004! (Including songs written for other artist) My unique style was developed out of my lyrical combination of soulful, melodic and content driven tunes. These tunes are currently cutting through various musical genres here in the U.S. and internationally. My music is heavily laced with Congo drums, hip-hop flows and roots West-Indian swagger. I have performed alongside artist such as Ayanda Sunshine (Neo Soul/Jazz/R&B), Prophit (Hip-Hop), and XXonda (Neo Soul/Jazz/R&B). My influences are garnered from all across the musical spectrum; Zuke, Soca, Reggae, Soul, Roots, Culture, Hip-Hop, and Rock just to name a few. Spoken word is also a major influence on my music. I continuously strive to be a voice of positivity and righteousness in order to counteract the devaluation of women and those struggling in our communities.
